STATE OF CONNECTICUT DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE SERVICES V. CLIENT
Client was criminally charged with four misdemeanor counts of failing to remit sales tax to the State of Connecticut, totaling approximately $170,000. Client retained The Woods Law Firm, LLC. We aggressively contested the matter. As a result, we were able to negotiate a nolle prosequi (dismissal under Connecticut law) of all four misdemeanor charges, with client paying a fine and avoiding the negative consequences of a criminal record.
